How long do lash extensions last?

To ensure the longevity of your lash extensions from A SpLash Of Confidence, it's important to understand that lash extension retention is a collaborative effort between our skilled technicians and you, our valued client. While we utilize the highest quality materials and proper application techniques, your role in aftercare is crucial for maintaining the beauty of your extensions. Typically clients book fills every 2-3 weeks.

How do I take care of my lashes?

• Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours if you can
 • Avoid oily products in the eye area. Use oil-free products including an approved cleanser
 • Avoid steam and excessive humidity including saunas, long hot tub soaks, and hot yoga
 • Avoid picking, pulling, twisting, or excessively touching your lashes
 • Avoid using an eyelash curler on your extensions
 • Try sleeping on your back or using a satin pillowcase (great for hair and skin too) to avoid any friction/rubbing
 • In the shower, avoid full water spray on lashes
 • Wash and brush your lashes daily
 • Treat your eyes and lashes gently, as if you have makeup on that you don’t want to smudge
 • Book regular fills, every 2-3 weeks

Can I get my lashes wet or wear mascara?

We recommend that you keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours. You are then free to shower, swim, and wash your lashes, making sure to rinse your lashes of pool chemicals or salt water often.

Hot tubs and saunas can shorten the life of your lashes due to the steam and heat. It is recommended to enjoy both for short periods of time only, and avoid if possible.

Absolutely NO mascara on your lash extensions. It creates a buildup that can be damaging to your lash investment and to your natural lashes.

Will extensions ruin my natural lashes?

Accepted Answer

No. If applied correctly, with the correct lash selection, and amount of glue, no damage will result from the application itself. It is essential to follow proper aftercare and not wear mascara or pull, twist, and pick your lashes.

It's been 4+ weeks since my last fill. Is that a full set, or a refill?

Accepted Answer

That is a full set. We encourage you to book in advance on a 2-3 week schedule based on your needs and natural lash cycle. Any appointments past 4 weeks whether you have lashes left or not will be considered a full set. To be classified as a refill you must have more than 50% of your extensions. If you have more specific questions, book in a free consultation so we can plan out what will work best for you.

What types of extensions do you offer?

We offer Classic, Hybrid, Volume and Mega Volume lash extensions.

Classic: This technique provides a natural look by subtly enhancing the lashes length and curl without appearing overly dramatic.

Volume: This technique is particularly suitable for clients with sparse natural lashes or those desiring a bolder, more dramatic look without requiring the use of heavy makeup.

Hybrid: This techinique is suitable to those desiring the best of both worlds. Hybrid lashes combine the more natural look of the classic lashes and the dramatic volume of volume lashes.  These too, are perfect for clients with sparse natural lashes who want a fuller look because the volume fans can fill in gaps for a more uniform lash line. Also, hybrid lashes allow you to try fuller volume look without jumping right into mega volume lashes!
